About This Yacht
Description
BUILT FOR 220V / 50 HZ MARKETS
Bluefin was ordered as an export boat. Her electrical system is 220 volt / 50 Hz, she was built to CE requirements, and EIAPP certification was specified for her engines. Both generators, the standard unit and an additional one, are 19 kW 220V/50Hz. That makes her ready for shore power and service across all of Europe and the Middle East, as well as Australia and Asia, with no conversion required. A Navionics Platinum Plus chart card for the Eastern Mediterranean and a European-market Icom VHF with AIS complete the picture.
POWER, STABILITY AND CONTROL
Twin MTU 10V M96L diesels rated at 1,600 horsepower each drive Bluefin, with 1,150 hours on the engines, and a Seakeeper 18 gyro stabilizer takes the roll out of the ride. Close-quarters handling is made easy by a hydraulic bow thruster, electronic single-lever controls with thruster controls at the teak helm pod, and an MTU dynamic positioning system with joystick. Engine and thruster controls are also fitted at the aft rail, so the captain can work a fish or dock from the cockpit. A third fuel tank adds range, a 63 GPH watermaker with auto backflush keeps the tanks full, and a Lewmar hydraulic windlass handles an Ultra Marine anchor with 328 feet of chain
A TOURNAMENT-READY COCKPIT AND FLYBRIDGE
The cockpit is set up for serious fishing: a refrigerated sole fish box, a second full-length fish box, an ice machine with discharge in the cockpit sole, and a transom fish box plumbed as a live well with a glass window and lights. A separate DC pump keeps the live well circulating without shore or generator power. Additional rod holders in the cockpit and haunches, a Marine Rocket launcher, dry deck in the cockpit boxes, a teak cockpit sole, a transom gate, a swim platform with ladder, and a hot and cold cockpit shower round out the working space. Dedicated 12V and 24V outlets are provided for teaser reels and electric gear.
Above, a Palm Beach Towers custom molded hardtop with brushed pipe carries 41-foot Rupp Big Riggs HD outriggers, a three-spreader bridge release, a Rupp center rigger and recessed electric Miya Epoch teaser reels. A three-sided Costa clear enclosure, rod storage inside the hardtop, and Stidd helm and companion chairs with folding bolsters keep the crew comfortable in any conditions. Fiberglass stairs connect the cockpit to the bridge.
ELECTRONICS
The helm is built around two Raymarine Axiom XL 22-inch displays, plus an additional 19 inch display, a Magnum 12 kW radar on a six-foot array, an EV-2 drive-by-wire autopilot and a Class B AIS transceiver. A Furuno CHIRP sounder and a Raymarine CHIRP sonar with Airmar transducers cover the fish finding, while a FLIR M364C gyro-stabilized thermal camera, an LED spotlight and a Furuno ultrasonic weather station support safe night running. Cameras include three in the engine room, a 4K cockpit camera and an underwater camera viewable on the bridge displays. Additional comforts include Raymarine satellite TV, Apple TV, a Fusion Apollo stereo with JL Audio speakers, a yacht Wi-Fi router and Lumishore color-changing underwater lights.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Below, the three-stateroom layout sleeps guests in comfort. The master stateroom has a queen bed and its own head with shower. A guest stateroom offers side-by-side bunks, and the forward stateroom features a custom VIP crossover bunk arrangement. A guest head with shower and a washer/dryer complete the lower deck, and every toilet has hot and cold bidet attachments. The custom wood interior is finished in satin throughout.
The salon features a Dewberry-style sofa, a dinette, a Costa carpet runner and full canvas. The peninsula-style galley was extended to hold three Sub-Zero units, two 30-inch refrigerators and a 24-inch freezer, and a clear ice icemaker serves the salon. A custom glass set and essential galley kit are included.
